STANLEY HOTEL WEDDINGS
GETTING MARRIED AT THE STANLEY HOTEL
The Stanley Hotel is historic, iconic… and haunted. Well, allegedly. But beyond its interesting backstory, it’s absolutely beautiful and an incredible place to host an Estes Park wedding.
Couples travel from all over the world to get married here, and it’s easy to see why. Located right in the heart of Estes Park, the property offers iconic views of the Lumpy Ridge mountain range, Rocky Mountain National Park, and all the scenery that makes Colorado so special.
Couples who choose the Stanley have several options around the property for hosting their wedding. The most popular, and best fit for a larger, more traditional celebration, is the Pavilion, which was built just a few years ago. It blends modern amenities with the classic architecture the Stanley is known for, and it really delivers some standout features. The most unique is the ceremony site, located inside a theater designed to comfortably host over 200 guests. At the front of the space is a stage backed by a massive glass window overlooking a pond carved into the rocky landscape. What really sets it apart, though, is that the entire window opens up for an open-air experience – perfect for summer weddings.
The rest of the Pavilion spans two levels, offering plenty of room for dining, dancing, and all kinds of reception activities. It also has the largest seating capacity of any wedding venue in Estes Park, making it the ideal (and really the only) option in town for guest counts of 200 or more. On top of that, there are beautiful views all around the venue, which is great for couples who prefer to keep everything on-site, though I still recommend sneaking away for photos at some of the nearby iconic spots.
For smaller weddings, the Stanley offers additional ceremony and reception locations, including the lawn with its stunning Rocky Mountain views and the library for a more intimate indoor setting. These options are perfect for couples looking for a more low-key experience or working with a smaller budget.
