Newland House Wedding

I visited Huntington Beach, California to shoot the wedding of Chad and Amy at the Newland House Museum. We started taking preparation wedding photos at Amy’s hotel overlooking the beach. The Newland House was right in the middle of Huntington Beach, but you would never guess it, I felt like I was back in the country! Chad and Amy hosted the wedding and reception in the courtyard and topped it all off with a beautiful candy bar. The lights strung from the water tower to the barn made an awesome addition, and everything fell into place so well. The ambient light was perfect during the ceremony which allowed me to capture some amazing wedding ceremony pictures. As always, capturing the right moments and emotions was key. Afterwards I pulled Chad and Amy aside to take some more photos of just the two of them. The wedding reception went through the night and the lights of the barn created a great ambiance. If you’re looking at having a Newland House Wedding, I highly recommend it. The venue doesn’t cost much to book and is very beautiful, plus if you want to be close to the beach you’re in luck!
