We first met Ben and Adri at a local Subaru club Christmas party years ago and since then we’ve developed a great friendship. So when it was time for them to get engaged, we were not only ecstatic for them but incredibly honored when they asked us to capture their Beaver Creek Lodge wedding, engagement and proposal photos! Our photo journey started with them back in 2017 when Ben asked me to go snowboarding with them (their favorite thing to do!) at Copper Mountain and capture him proposing to Adri at the top of the mountain. She obviously said yes, and the engagement officially began!
A few months after, we headed up to the Grand Tetons in Wyoming for their engagement photos. While unfortunately it rained the entire trip, that didn’t stop us from getting some amazing photos and making the best out of our adventure session.
BEAVER CREEK LODGE WEDDING
Finally, the wedding day arrived and Lyssa I drove up I-70 to capture their Beaver Creek Lodge Wedding. Because of their love for snowboarding and cold-weather, they insisted on having a winter-themed wedding and what a better place to do so than at Beaver Creek. We started the afternoon out capturing some getting ready photos of Adri and her girls in their private suite at the Lodge which had an incredible view of the slopes and the shopping center. After getting her in the dress and taking some photos of her and the bridesmaids, we positioned her and Ben in place to capture their “first look”. After an emotional exchange we decided to head around the lodge and the slopes for some photos of the two of them.
The ceremony took place in the “gallery” at the lodge, which sits in the middle of the hotel and has some unique art and features making it a special place to exchange their vows. Afterwards we took a few more photos outside and then headed inside to enjoy their reception. It was so much fun to see them partying and enjoy the celebration with them. Photographing their wedding at Beaver Creek was such a fun of experience for Lyssa and I, and we can’t wait to go back.
