Sprague Lake Wedding Photography:
For those of you who live or have traveled to Colorado (I’m going to assume that’s most of you reading this blog) you’ll know that Estes Park is an absolutely beautiful place, perhaps one of the most scenic spots in Colorado. And there’s no denying that the nearby Rocky Mountain National Park is beautiful as well, a perfect setting for a mountain wedding. I got a last minute phone call (like two weeks before the wedding date – no joke) from this couple asking if I would shoot their Sprague Lake Wedding. Luckily I was available so I quickly took advantage of the opportunity. It was an elopement ceremony taking place between Amanda and Gavin on the dock of the lake, with an epic view of mountains, water, sky and trees.
I arrived early at Sprague Lake to scope out some potential photography spots, check how my light would fall and prepare for the elopement. Before the ceremony I snagged up a couple of the key details of the day and photographed the bride’s shoes, dress and rings. The ceremony lasted about 20 minutes, and after Gavin and Amanda exchanged vows, rings and their first kiss, we took some photos on the dock and the surrounding areas around Sprague Lake.
If you ever have the opportunity to visit Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park, take a trip to Sprague. It’s absolutely beautiful and so serene!
