If you can’t tell from our portfolio, we absolutely love outdoor weddings, so when Melinda and Ross originally reached out to us with their wedding plans, we were 100% on board. The idea of a ranch-wedding tucked away in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains presents some phenomenal opportunities for capturing beautiful images, and we’re all about doing just that. This late-summer wedding was located at Stove Prairie Ranch and it’s gorgeous venue. Many of the old stone buildings are original to the property which have been standing since the late 1800’s which is part of the allure and appeal to this wedding venue. Today, the ranch operates as a secluded event center and retreat in Rist Canyon.

For Melinda and Ross’ wedding, they chose to hold all of their events outside including the ceremony and reception. It was such a fun day with plenty of photo opportunities and we were so happy to capture both still images and video for them. A couple weeks after the big day, we convinced them to head up to Estes Park for the Fall colors and as always, the vibrant colors of the Rockies did not disappoint!
