FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE COST?

Your investment is $697. 50% is due when you sign up, the remaining is due one week before the workshop. Because of the exclusivity of this workshop, no refunds will be provided unless we can find someone to fill your spot.

HOW DO I GET TO ESTES PARK?

If you’re traveling from out of state, you’ll want to fly into Denver International Airport. From there, you can rent a car and drive up to Estes Park. The drive is about an hour and a half from the airport.

WHAT’S THE SITUATION WITH LODGING?

October is a very busy tourist season in Estes Park – make sure you book your hotel ASAP. I recommend the Holiday Inn – the rooms are nice and within walking distance of downtown Estes.

HOW MUCH GEAR SHOULD I BRING?
Bring at a minimum one camera and one wide lens and one portrait/telephoto lens. If you have lighting equipment you’re comfortable with, please bring that!
SHOULD I BE WORRIED ABOUT ALTITUDE SICKNESS?

Estes Park is at 7,500ft in elevation, and some people do experience shortness of breath, headaches, dizziness, and dehydration. I recommend that a week before the workshop, you drink more water than you usually do. 3 days beforehand, limit alcohol consumption and during your stay, hydrate frequently, and be prepared with aspirin or CBD. On your first day at altitude, limit physical activity to allow your body to acclimate.

WHAT KIND OF WEATHER CAN I EXPECT?

Generally speaking the weather is extremely mild and beautiful this time of year. However, plan and expect for Winter weather just in case as Estes Park is in the Mountains. Layering is key and prepare for any weather.

CAN MY SPOUSE/FRIEND “TAG ALONG” WITH US DURING THE DAY, EVEN IF THEY’RE NOT ATTENDING THE WORKSHOP?

To be fair to the other attendees and to eliminate distractions, we respectfully ask that anyone that has not paid for a spot in our workshop remain absent from any of our education lectures and hands-on shooting. Thank you for understanding.
