Fort Collins Photoshoot Locations

Fort Collins and the surrounding areas have so many amazing places to take engagement and family photos at. If you’re looking to hire Lara Photography to take your photos in Fort Collins here are a few of my favorite spots I always suggest to my clients.   1) Lee Martinez Park Lee Martinez Park is located just west of Old Town in Fort Collins and is one of my favorite spots to take photos due to the great scenery. Regardless of the time of year, there are usually great opportunities to capture scenic images. Fair warning – it can get very busy here and you WILL run into other photographers, especially in the Spring and Fall, so prepare accordingly and please be respectful to others and to the environment.   fort collins family photographer Fort Collins Photoshoot Location, Fort Collins Sean Lara Photography185006 Sean Lara Photography185936     2) Devil’s Backbone (Permit Required) Another great outdoor scenic area, the Devils’s Backbone in Loveland has great views with distinctive rock formations and foliage. You MUST have a Larimer County Parks commercial photography permit to take photos here and country rangers regularly patrol and check the area, so prepare accordingly and save yourself a ticket. From late November to early February, the city puts up lights at night.    Fort Collins Engagement Photographer Fort Collins Photoshoot Location, Fort Collins Fort Collins Photoshoot Location, Fort Collins   7) Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park (Permit required in RMNP) While this location on the list isn’t in Fort Collins, it’s close enough to Fort Collins to make this list. Estes Park and RMNP are some of the best places in Northern Colorado to take photos if you want amazing views of the mountains. Late September and early October are the best times to get shots of the changing leaves. A commercial photography permit is required which can be obtained through the National Parks Service office.   horseshoe park estes park RMNP elopement   8) Poudre Canyon About a 20 minute drive out of Fort Collins, the Poudre Canyon has great views of evergreens, unique rock formations, and the famous Cache La Poudre River.     Sean Lara Photography 180658 Sean Lara Photography181004
