My name is Sean, and I’m a Denver funeral photographer offering photojournalism-style coverage for your loved one’s celebration of life. I’ll be respectful, sensitive, and discreet.
Should I hire a funeral photographer?
This is a tough question to answer, as these ceremonies can be very sensitive and emotional for everyone involved. Most people hire me as a way to document the memories your loved one has left behind. Another reason is to remember your family coming together to celebrate the life of the deceased. There may be other reasons why you may choose to have me, but know that I will provide as little or as much coverage as you want. You may not be ready to remember this experience, but know that the photos will be available to you when ready. Before you hire me, we can briefly discuss the moments you want captured and how involved you would like me to be during this process.
How will you photograph the funeral?
As mentioned before, I will be discreet and sensitive. If I notice someone having a harder time than others or appears to be uncomfortable with my presence, I will be respectful to them and will stop photographing that person. Additionally, I use telephoto lenses so I can capture images at a distance, use mirrorless cameras that have a silent shutter and will not use flash photography during the ceremonies. In addition to the ceremony coverage, I can also provide portraits before or after with you and your family.
What are your qualifications?
I’ve been a portrait and event photographer for 12+ years. I started my career as a photojournalist for a major newspaper and have used that experience to understand how to professionally document important and sensitive life moments.
Can we see your funeral photography portfolio?
Out of respect for our clients and their families, we do not post or share any photos from funeral services, burials, processions, cremation ceremonies, last rites, eulogies, obituaries or any other celebration of life events. Your privacy is extremely important to us and it is guaranteed by my studio.

Pricing
My rates for funeral photography services start at $749. This includes up to an hour and a half of coverage with all of the photos (privately) shared with you in full resolution.
