BROOKSIDE GARDENS WEDDINGS
In our opinion, Brookside Gardens in Berthoud is one of the best wedding venues to get married at on Colorado’s Front Range. Being right off of I-25, it’s an incredibly convenient and easy location to find. Not only is it easily accessible, it’s gorgeous. There are many unique features to take photos with so you can book this spot knowing that you’ll always have the opportunity to walk away with special shots of yourself. There’s a circular pergola surrounding the ceremony site, a gorgeous stream with a waterfall and rustic brickwork throughout the property which provides a nice backdrop for couple’s portraits. One of the less-known spots that we like to take couples to for amazing sunset photos is in the field on the side of the venue. We’ve witnessed some amazing sunsets from this spot which have stunning views of the Rocky Mountains in the background.
OUR APPROACH TO CAPTURING WEDDINGS AT BROOKSIDE GARDENS
At Lara Photography we have a very simple philosophy, and that’s unique photos. While we will provide some of the traditional shots that everyone hopes for, what we love doing most is capturing images that show off the environment and are bold and vibrant. This means we’ll create pieces of art for you that you’ll want to proudly display in your house, office or gift to a loved one. In addition to this, we’re not big on fabricating moments so sticking true to our photojournalism roots is very important to us. We started our career as photojournalists and recognizing when special moments are going to happen and capturing those unobtrusively is critical to the success of our photography approach. At Brookside Gardens, most people choose to get married under the pergola outside. If the weather takes a turn, or it’s one of the cold seasons, some couples choose to get married inside by the fireplace which is as equally of a beautiful option. Most of the time of the cocktail hour is hosted outside, and the reception inside which can accommodate over 300 guests – this is good news for those with big families! The bride and groom both have their separate getting ready suites which is very convenient from a photo perspective, because one photographer can easily move back and forth to capture as many photos as possible. As mentioned earlier, there are ample locations throughout the Gardens to take photos with the couple, wedding party and family. When it’s time to party, there are plenty of options and configurations for the reception that are available because of the large space. Some guests choose to have the dance floor in front of the fireplace, and others decide to have it in the tented area. At the end of the night when the party is done, guests can stay in one of the brand new suites on-site!
