Lara Photography is hiring for photography jobs in Colorado!

We are looking for contractors (1099 self-employed contractors) to help with a variety of tasks. I’m looking for lighting assistants, second shooters, associate shooters, and videographers. Please note that there are no set amount of guaranteed assignments per year. We ask for help on an “as-needed” basis.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

LIGHTING ASSISTANT

Pay: $15/hr

Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of a lighting assistant is to help the photographer set up and hold lighting and photography equipment. You will need to grab lenses out of bags when prompted, assemble flashes and modifiers on light stands and assist the photographer with a variety of tasks.

Job Requirements: Basic knowledge of camera equipment is preferred.

SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER

Pay: $50/hr

Responsibilities: Primary responsibility is to assist the photographer in capturing different angles and splitting attention on the day of the wedding. You can read more of what we expect from second photographers here. 

Job Requirements: You must have prior wedding photography experience (at least ten events) or extensive experience in the photography industry and understand the basic flow of a wedding.

In addition, you must own the following equipment – 

•Two Primary bodies, 16mp minimum, full-frame preferred

•Telephoto lens with f/4 or wider aperture (70-200mm, 24-200, 135mm, etc)

•Wide/standard lens with f/4 or wider aperture (16-35mm, 24-70, etc)

•Minimum of 3 speedlights or monolights/strobes with wireless capability

ASSOCIATE PHOTOGRAPHER

Pay: $175/hr

Responsibilities: Associate photographers are the primary photographer for wedding events. They may shoot solo, or with an assistant and have creative control over the way a day is photographed. They are required to have at minimum one consultation with a client 6 weeks before their event. 

Job Requirements: Please see 2nd photographer qualifications. Additionally, associate photographers must be extremely experienced with wedding photography documentation having captured at least 50 throughout their career. They must be very comfortable and proficient with off-camera flash and shoot in the style representative of the Lara Photography brand.
