Love it or hate it, one of the perks of living in Colorado is snow in the winter. While it can sometimes make our lives more difficult, I for one absolutely love a fresh snowfall for all of the amazing photo ops it presents. Chris and Kathryn wanted to take their engagement photos somewhere that had “Colorado vibes” with a mountain atmosphere. The day before the shoot, the weather forecast called for heavy snow and temperatures going into the single digits. Fortunately Chris and Kathryn decided to push through it and I’m incredibly happy they did. The fresh snowfall created a beautiful landscape in the spots I picked out. We started at a couple of my favorite spots in the Poudre Canyon taking photos with them and their adorable boxer and 7-month year old malamute puppy. Afterwards, we headed down to Old Town Fort Collins to change up the scenery and take some more urban-style shots.
Chris and Kathryn are having an Estes Park wedding this year at Taharaa Mountain Lodge and I can’t wait to be a part of their big day!
