Hudson Gardens Wedding :

All along the Front Range there are no limits as to where you can get married. You can host your party in the mountains, there’s a clock tower in Downtown Denver, you can venture to one of the many rustic farms in some of the more rural areas, and there’s even a venue where you can get married on a beach! With so many choices available to newly engaged couples, sometimes it can be overwhelming to find a nice venue to tie the knot at. For one, I will say I’m glad that Nathan and Sami chose Hudson Gardens for their venue – it’s gorgeous. I was incredibly excited to shoot here, as I’ve only photographed one other Hudson Gardens Wedding a few years back and I wanted to get more familiar with the place.

Being the first week of July, it was incredibly hot outside so not only did we use the comfort of the shade to cool down, but often found ourselves gravitating towards it for to capture a lot of our photo moments – which is more than fine because shade provides nice natural light. At the start of the day, the guys and girls got ready separately in their respective rooms across the path from each other. The girls completed the finishing touches of their hair and makeup while the guys hung out and showed me their super awesome Star Wars themed socks. Nathan and Sami decided to start their day by doing a “first look”, so we could get a lot of their photos out of the way before the ceremony. The ceremony was then held in the rose garden under the pergola where they exchanged vows and planted a tree to signify the start of their relationship, and would watch it grow over the years, just as their love for each other. After the ceremony and a few more family photos we headed to the large tent to celebrate their marriage with family and friends.
