Electra Cruises Wedding
I had the opportunity to photograph another wedding on Electra Cruises in Newport Beach. Adrijana and Khyamm were looking for traditional wedding photography, but wanted me to capture candid moments as well.

I love Electra Cruises. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph a few weddings on their boats and it’s the perfect venue for those who love being close to the water and the beach. Our boat today was the Destiny, but before we set sail I photographed the women getting ready at the Newport Beach Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort, while my associate photographer Oliver headed over to the groom’s house to take photos of all the guys. While the rooms at the Hilton aren’t anything overly flashy, the windows are nice and big providing soft light and great views of Newport Beach.
After taking some photos of both the men and the women, we headed on board to the Destiny to prepare for the ceremony. Before setting sail, I was able to take a few more photos of both the men and the women, and capture both Adrijana and Khyamm’s emotions before tying the knot. I also had a chance to take a look at photograph all of the details and decorations they picked, which consisted of sea-themed decorations for their reception tables.
The ceremony took place on the upper deck of the ship which had a nice 240 degree view of Newport Bay. Every ship in the Electra Cruises fleet have beautiful views of the harbor, so no matter which boat you decide to go on you’ll have a great scenery to enjoy.
After the ceremony we enjoyed a nice dinner and reception aboard the ship. The Destiny has multiple bars which makes it easy and convenient to grab a drink. Before the dancing started, I was able to sneak out the bride and groom and get some photos on the upper deck and back in the bridal suite. Combining unique off-camera lighting techniques I was able to get some dramatic photographs.
The Destiny has it’s own dance floor with plenty of space to accommodate all of the guests on board. It was a fantastic way for Adrijana, Khyamm and their guests to finish off the wedding with a bang!
