Elopements are becoming increasingly popular in Colorado. For their celebration, Colti and Peter came in from out of state to get married in private in Estes Park. During the elopement, they chose to exchange vows on the lawn at the Stanley Hotel while some of their close family and friends watched from a distance. After their ceremony, the couple wanted us to take them around the Hotel to capture some photos incorporating the historic architecture. One of the locations we took photos in was on the famous stage that is apparently quite haunted, as is many other spots throughout the property. Afterwards we headed out into Rocky Mountain National Park to visit some of my favorite locations with spectacular mountain views. For this particular elopement Colti & Peter consulted with me on when we should start taking photos and that decision greatly paid off! The sunset views we had that evening were spectacular and we couldn’t have asked for better light.
