Fort Collins has some fantastic wedding venues, and Windsong is no exception. A fairly new venue, the Windsong Estate is modern and classy – a great place to host a wedding. It overlooks the Rocky Mountains to the West, has a well-crafted ceremony site and boasts a beautiful reception/dining area.

For this Windsong Estate Wedding, we join Emily and Colter on their love-filled adventure at the venue. They started the day by getting ready in their separate rooms as they let me capture some of their important details – the dress, her shoes, her rings, all the important things that helped create Emily’s perfect wedding vision! Afterwards, we drove to a nearby lake to capture a first look between Emily and Colter. First looks are always a beautiful moment – the bride and groom get to see each other for the first time alone.

Shortly after taking some more photos of the bridal party, I captured a beautiful moment of Emily, Colter, and their family and bridal party praying before starting the ceremony.

The ceremony takes place just outside the venue, and overlooks the mountains and Fort Collins to the West. Because the ceremony site faces South West, late afternoon weddings are perfect for well-balanced lighting. After the ceremony, the sun was low enough in the sky to capture some sunset photos of the bride and groom and once it got dark we proceeded to the reception.
